August 2007 Centuries This list is not a complete list of Centuries in the area, only Selected
Centuries in the current month. If you have one that you think we should add
to this list forward the information on it to vicepresident@duro.org. The club century is the Napa Century. August 4, 2007: Santa Cruz Mountain Challenge Scotts Valley High School. The 100-miler has 10,000 feet of climbing. This includes Jamison Creek to Empire Grade which is advertised as 2,100 feet in less than 4 miles or an average grade of 12%. The 100k has 5,000+ feet of climbing. Fee is $45 by July 15th and $55 thereafter. Ride is limited to 500 riders. Ride starts at Vallecito Elementary School, 50 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael. The 100-miler climbs Lucas Valley Road and Marshall Wall. The ride returns through Petaluma and Novato. Fee is $60 by July 23 and $65 thereafter. There is a 2,500 rider limit.
