April 2007 Centuries

 

This list is not a complete list of Centuries in the area, only Selected Centuries in the current month. If you have one that you think we should add to this list forward the information on it to vicepresident@duro.org.

 

The club centuries for April will be the Cinderella and Tierra Bella .  All riders will receive two points.

 

 

April 7, 2007:  Party Pardee Century  Start point is Howard Park in Ione on Highway 124. No day of ride registration. Registration is $40 till March 24.  The ride takes you into the gold country and pass several lakes which are a part of the East Bay MUD fresh water system.   Various routes including 100K but no 100 miler.  Contact Sacramento Bike Hikers P.O. April 14, 2007:  Tierra Bella Bike Ride   Start point is Galivan College in Gilroy.  No late or day of ride registration.   $45 pre-registration by March 24th.  Sponsored by Almaden Cycle Touring Club.  P.O. April 22, 2007:  Primavera Century    Sponsored by the Fremont Freewheelers. Start point is Logan High School in Union City.  $35 pre-registration by April 21st.  .  For information Freewheelers Bicycle Club, P.O. April 22, 2007:  Chico Wildflower Century  60,100, and 125 miles.  Starts in south Chico at Silver Dollar Fairgrounds.  Pre-registration only by April 8th.  Fee is $45.  Chico Velo Cycling Club (800) 482-2453 or www.chicovelo.org

 

 

April 28, 2007:  Mt. Hamilton Challenge  70,128.  Starting at Adrian Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, riders climb to Lick Observatory atop 4,209 ft Mt. Hamilton then continue through the remote San Antonio and Arroyo Mocho Valleys, including Mines and Calaveras Roads, on a 128 mile loop with 8,300 ft of climbing.  Optional Ascent Tour, returning directly from Lick Observatory, is 70 miles with 5,300 ft of climbing. .  Riders bring their own food.  Registration is $15 by April 20th.  Day of registration is $25.  For more information contact Pedalara Cycling Club 408.354.2944or website http://hillsidegraphics.com/hamilton-challenge/
